Carmen has had a fab week spent with my family. We went horse riding, for a picnic in the park, to the cinema and travelled to Yorkshire to find fairies in the forest. It has been so much fun!

Zachary and Ryaa have had a fun filled day at Chester Le Street park with their cousins.
Year 1 had a fantastic day last week learning all about different jobs! In the morning we watched a video of Miss Booth’s brother Michael who is a pilot 👨🏻✈️🛫, we then went and spoke to Nicola, our school cook and learnt all about her job as a chef 🧑🏼🍳 we then wrote about which job interested us the most. In the afternoon we watched a video of a Disney princess 👸🏼who visits little children for their parties! We all wanted to wear a beautiful princess dress after that! We then finished the day by writing about what we aspire to be when we are older! What a brilliant aspirations day Year 1!👏
Amber has had a great time with her family from Manchester. We haven’t seen them in nearly 18months. She has loved being back with her cousins!

Y6 thoroughly enjoyed the five live video calls they had with people from a range of jobs today for Aspirations Day. Some of the occupations included a tattoo artist, chimney sweep, specialist seating therapist, physiotherapist and a public health practitioner. Well done to Y6 for asking such thoughtful questions and listening well to the responses!
On Friday, Year 4 were lucky enough to learn about a range of professions during aspirations day. We learned about a disney princess, an actress, a builder, an olympic athlete, a journalist who writes about NUFC and even spoke to Oliver’s mam and dad via google meet about their jobs as a fireman and a fire photographer! The children learned many valuable lessons, the most important one being to find something that you love doing and try to make it your job! We also learned a lot about the importance of a work-life balance! Thanks to Mrs Smith and Miss Pape for arranging such a fab day!
Reception had a lovely day on Friday, learning all about different jobs! We all dressed up as someone we aspire to be when we grow up. We also visited our school chef (Nicola) and watched some videos about a pilot and a Disney princess!! What a fab day 🤩
Here is our Riley with his brand, new puppy! We can’t wait to hear all about it, Riley!
