The staff were feeling so brave today🐍.
We had a fabulous afternoon with crazy creatures!
Year One have been sketching the streets surrounding our school. We made sure to look very closely at all the buildings so that we could draw all of their different details. We sketched from both sides of our yard and when we got back to class we discussed how our sketches were different depending on our view. We are all amazing artists!
As part of our current Science topic, today Year 4 took part in a Light Bulbs and Circuits workshop at the Discovery Museum. We looked at insulators and conductors, and were challenged to make five different types of circuits! Year 4 rose to the challenge and wowed our workshop host Thomas with our knowledge and skills!
Year One have been learning all about the similarities and differences between pieces of art. We looked at lots of beautiful artwork and talked to our friends about how they can be compared. We had lots of fun!
Here are some examples of our talk homework from this week. Our task was to spend time with and show an appreciation for our grandparents! Well done everyone these photos are gorgeous and so heart warming
This week, as part of their Athletics unit in PE, Year 4 focused on the hurdles and researched the different techniques we could use.
Year 2 have begun their new art topic, “Portraits and Poses” this afternoon. They really enjoyed working in groups to analyse different portraits of Tudor monarchs, discussing the poses, clothing and why these monarchs would want to be portrayed in these ways.
Year 1 have started our new computing learning of grouping and labelling. We had to group objects and consider how they could be labelled. Well done year 1

Y3 had the best time on their trip to Housesteads Roman Fort. The first challenge was keeping up with the Y3 children has they stormed up the hill. Next they received fast-track training into the Roman army. After an inspection of their living quarters and most importantly the toilets, they agreed to sign up. They’ll see you in 25 years!
