Year 5- Beautiful Bird Feeders – 16.07.2021

How much would you be willing to pay for one of these? Beautiful, hand-crafted, artisan, sustainable, locally sourced, eco-friendly and lots of other wonderful words we’re sure but Mr Usher couldn’t think of any others.
Year 5 have started creating 10 of these bird boxes for our courageous advocacy project focussed around animal welfare. The class decided that in order to raise funds for a local animal welfare charity it would make sense to build something that would also enhance the lives of our local wildlife. Let us know what you think.

Whole School News – Caleb’s Butterflies – 16.07.2021

Caleb would like to share the big cluster of peacock butterfly caterpillars in our garden.
We have been learning about them this morning and found out it takes 12 weeks to transform from egg to butterfly.
Our friends also enjoy feasting on nettles while they are caterpillars until they chrysalis and emerge as butterfly’s.
We are looking forward to hopefully seeing them in their cocoons and flying away, there is so many of them.

Year 5 – Sports Day – 16.07.2021

The 15th July marked the date for Year 5’s annual Sports Day competition. Year 5 staff were so impressed with the determination and ability shown and the Sportsmanship and peer support was great to see! Keep it up Year 5!

Year 5 – Bikeability – 16.07.2021

This week, (WB 11.07.21) Year 5 have been doing Bikeability, where they have enjoyed putting their skills to the test in our local community, learning all about road safety. The instructors were hugely impressed by the maturity shown – Well done Year 5!

Year 2 – Sports Day! – 13.07.2021

Year 2 Sports Day- this afternoon Year 2 loved doing their own Sports Day. Children were in teams and took part in different activities; javelin, egg and spoon race, relays and an obstacle race.

Year 3 – Sports day with a twist! – 13.07.2021

We may be isolating and learning from home but that doesn’t stop us doing our own sports day activities.

Year 3 have really got into the competitive spirit this afternoon, challenging themselves in their gardens and homes. Well done, you are all stars!
