Today Year 2 loved tasting some traditional Spanish tapas. They loved it so much it was gone before we got lots of photos.
Y6 has a fab Miles Away Monday to Spain! Our highlight was this DT session, when we designed, prepared and then ate our own Spanish montaditos. The ingredients were all Spanish and we considered how to make our tapas dishes healthy and of balanced nutritional value. Lots of us tasted something new today, too. Well done, Y6!
Reception have had a brilliant, jam packed day of learning about Spain! We have been super busy learning to count in Spanish, designing a Flamenco dress, creating Spanish flags, listening to Spanish music, finding Spain on google Earth AND we even managed to do some Flamenco dancing too!! Wow what a fab day Reception 🤩💃 Adiós!
Year 1 have loved their Miles Away Monday to Spain!
Joshua (and Naomi) wanted to share their autumn pumpkins. They carved them and had a treat tea and a sleepover in the living room.
Before half term, year 3 thought Statistics day was ‘sweet’!
Statistics day certainly gave the children in Year 3 food for thought. Who knew Cadbury eclairs were the least common sweets in a box of Heroes? The children had great fun, sorting, grouping and presenting their real life data into pictograms, tally charts and bar charts.
Year 4 worked really hard learning about statistics yesterday. The class were really keen to learn how to read data and have a go at making their own charts! Some of us even utilised our new concrete maths resources to help us solve problems 😆
Year 5 were hand-delivered their pen pal letters yesterday from Bede Burn Primary School. We can’t wait to learn more about our pen pal and make some new friends!
Reception had a lovely visit from Mrs Smith this morning with a surprise! We were thrilled to receive our letters from our pen pals at Bede Burn! We have loved seeing of all of the things the children in reception Bede Burn like and can’t wait to write to them again soon
