As part of our new topic Ancient Civilisations, Year 4 have visited The Great North Museum. We completed a workshop on mummification, and even got to study some real mummified Egyptians that the museum have, looking at X-rays to discover what objects were buried with them, and what their facial structure was.

Year 4 explored the Egyptian gallery, completing some activities to further our understanding. We also had some time to explore the museum and check out the other exhibitions too…another great trip!
