Year 4 have been really enjoying their first Geography topic, Interconnected World. Today we have been using atlases and globes to locate the tropics, and have been thinking about the position of the equator.

As a treat, for their last PE session, the children in Year 4 chose their own activities. They really enjoyed parachute games and taking part in some Just Dance.

Year 4 had a lovely start to the week on our trip to The Customs House to watch Spider-Man. After the film we ate our packed lunches in the sunshine 

Year 4 have been looking at money, work and wellbeing as part of their RHSE topic. Today, we have been thinking about the difference between a need and a want to help us understand that adults must prioritise how best to spend money and that choices and sacrifices may sometimes need to be made. We have also looked at how to organise spending choices.

In Year 4 this morning, we have been learning about Islamic Art and experimenting using techniques to create a pattern from a motif.

What a brilliant day Year 4 have had at the beach! Thank you sooooo much to everyone who came along, it was wonderful to see so many of you all having such a lovely time together. Nothing better than a day of sandy toes and happy ice cream faces!

What an afternoon!!!!! Year 4 absolutely raised the roof with their 90’s version of ‘Wonderwall’ for today’s Oz Music Fest. Thanks to everyone who came and rocked out with us and bringing the fab festival vibes 

As part of our Ancient Civilisations topic, Year 4 visited the Great North Museum today to take part in an Ancient Egyptian workshop. We learned all about the hierarchy of jobs and discussed who was most important and why. We decoded hieroglyph puzzles and completed an explorer trail around the ancient Egypt gallery.
