Alex and Izzie want to let everyone know that Buddy the Elf arrived last night and they are feeling very spoilt and lucky!!

Reception have been learning all about Advent. We have made an Advent Wreath headband.
Reception had a very busy day yesterday being engineers! They had a STEM day where they had to make a mountain for The Jolly Postman. They had to use lots of skills to make their mountain, including planning, making, evaluating and using technology to take a picture of their finished product! There was some fantastic team work going on too. Wow, what a busy day, well done. ⭐️🏼
Reception have been very busy today starting their new topic of The Nativity story! We had lots of learning based around the story this afternoon to get to know all of the people/characters. We made masks, role played with figures, used puppet characters and read the story together!
Reception have had a busy day today in the nature garden! We did lots of exploring and read the story ‘Leaf Man’. We then made our own Leaf Man from all of the leaves in the nature garden!
Reception have been busy this week finishing their topic of Superheroes! We have been doing lots of work about how we are special and unique. We ended our topic by making medals to celebrate all gifts, talents and abilities! We then had a super celebration wearing our medals and danced to some music!
Reception have had a great day learning all about Japan! We have been doing lots of activities to keep us busy. We have created a Japanese flag, some traditional Japanese artwork, a lantern and we have been using chopsticks to pick up and count out objects! We also learned how to say ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’ in Japanese – as well as having a go at counting in Japanese, it was very tricky!!!
