Year 3 explored taproots and fibrous roots. We looked at an example of each root and then labelled each of their features on the yard using chalk.
This week, Year 3 focused on backstroke. We were told to kick fast with no disco dancing spider legs and no chicken wing arms. 

Today, Year 3 used AI to bring their character descriptions of mythical creatures to life. They started off by drawing their creatures, then wrote about them. Following this they used AI to generate images of their creatures from their descriptions.
Year 3 had their first swimming lesson with Sharon today! We had so much fun and cannot wait to come back again next week. 

Year 3 had another fantastic time with Drew. We looked at passing, catching and team work.




Year 3 spent the discussion section of their RE lesson today investigating Keith Hebden and what he did to show love to others. We worked in pairs, in the hall, and discovered clues to help us answer key questions on Keith Hebden, his actions and how they linked to Jesus’ teachings.
Some of our Year 3 and 4s had a jam packed day last Friday in the sunshine! We spent the morning investigating volcanoes and conducting our own science experiment to replicate a real life eruption! We used our clay skills to make clay faces, and decorated the nature garden with our ‘spirit of the trees’. We then finished our day making pizzas in the pizza oven before toasting marshmallows around the campfire 
Year 3 have had a great time with Drew from the Newcastle Rugby Foundation today. We looked at passing, catching and finding space. We can’t wait for our next lesson!
