Reception have had a lovely afternoon of visitors today! We had some furry friends join us to have a hop around! We LOVED seeing the rabbits and were so excited to touch, stroke and hold them. We asked some great questions about how to look after them and also fed them some apples 

Reception have loved exploring their new topic so far this week of ‘Animal Safari’! We have been exploring some of the new things in our provision and have loved the new dog groomers, our jungle small world, the jungle cafe and animals in the water area! 

Reception enjoyed a morning at forest school this morning! We have learned lots about the Easter story and have now made our own Easter Gardens. We had to use different symbols from the story such as a cross, palm leaves and the stone!  These were brilliant reception, well done 

Reception had a lovely day out to the farm today! We went and saw lots of farm animals and explored around the farm. We also enjoyed a Gruffalo trail before then having our lunch! It was very muddy, lots of us have muddy shoes and pants 

Wow another busy day for reception! We have been putting our chopping and slicing skills to the test and have made a healthy fruit skewer! We made this for the hungry caterpillar and tasted it for ourselves too  we certainly enjoyed the taste test! We showed some super skills, building on our healthy eating learning and created brilliant skewers, well done 

Reception have had a busy day today learning lots about healthy eating! We have sorted lots of food into food groups and discussed if they’re healthy or unhealthy! We have then planned a fruit skewer that we’re going to make for the Hungry Caterpillar tomorrow !

Reception have had a fun filled week around their topic of Ready Steady Grow! We have received our very own caterpillars to looks after . We had to put them into their own pots with some food and are now going to observe them grow and change…these will soon turn into cocoons! We will then see them transform into beautiful butterflies 

Wow! Reception have had a great day for World Book Day! We have been doing lots of activities linked to stories. First of all though we demonstrated fantastic listening and attention skills, whilst we all paraded our costumes and had a look at what everyone was dressed as 

Wow Reception had an absolutely jam-packed, fab day on their first trip out! We learned lots about life long ago by looking at items, exhibitions, re-enacting some past events and even drew a self portrait to look back on when we are older!…aaaand we most certainly enjoyed our packed lunches
