For our PE lesson yesterday, Year One followed Mr Barron’s PE games. We used our throwing skills by rolling different types of balls to knock down cones and bottles. It was very tricky at first but we persevered and got the hang of it. We had so much fun and the children want to do this again next week.
Yesterday, reception went into the nature garden to search for fossils!
For Worship Year One have discussed ‘How do we get back on track” These are some of our ideas that we came up together with.
Today Year 1 have been working on imperative verbs, one of the extra tasks Miss Booth set was for the children to watch a video and follow the instructions to make Teddy Bear toast. Look at Amber’s work!
Mam said, ‘Amber made the teddy bear toast and said it was scrumptious!’
Today in Year One we have been working up a sweat by following exercises by Joe Wicks. This included sit-ups,press-ups, running on the spot, mountain climbers and lunges.
In Year One we have looked at how we are loved during Worship. Some of us did a jigsaw puzzle and some of us did a open heart. We wrote ideas how we are loved such as hugs, kisses, smiling at each other, helping with homework and spending time together.
“Harper and Shay have had a very busy week this week! Shay was awarded the headteachers award and Harper has been helping Shay with his work at home. They’ve enjoyed an afternoon of making winter tree scene pictures and were both enjoying Miss Marley’s story this afternoon. You are all doing a great job at St Oswald’s and thanks to the teachers for the online learning, the children are loving it!”
“We finally finished Harley’s wooden spoon characters and he would love to share them. Obviously, we couldn’t just do Sonic, we had to have Tails to join the puppet clan 😂”
