Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed our prayer space this morning reflecting on
Protected Characteristics. Year 1 had a super attitude and behaviour
during our reflection time. Great job 

This afternoon year 1 have been learning all about algorithms, this
tricky word means a set of instructions. We thought about how we
follow instructions everyday, we then wrote some algorithms for
travelling to school, getting dressed for school and making a jam
sandwich. We then listened to and followed an algorithm that Miss
Booth gave us to create a crazy character. We noticed how everyone’s characters were different and we now know we must give clear, precise and detailed instructions to get things right! Great job year 1 🤩🏫⏱🥪

Here is Year 1 looking gorgeous by our Christmas tree ready for our Christmas party! We’ve  had so much fun dancing, playing party games and we are now full up from our delicious party food! 

Year 1 have had a fantastic Christmasy afternoon creating our 2023 calendars and decorating and eating Christmas biscuits. 

Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Christmas Cafe today where we
got to try lots of traditional Christmas foods and learn about what
makes them special. A massive thank you to Mrs Smith and Miss Pape we
loved it 

Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed our prayer space activities yesterday. We reflected on important events that have happened this year, what our talents are, what we are thankful for and what we’d ask God for guidance with. Great job superstars 

Year 1 attended Temple Park yesterday to take part in a KS1 multi-skills festival. We used lots of different skills in a fun-filled morning!

As part of our geography learning of Our Wonderful World we have been learning about woodland habitats, we discussed the importance of them, how they are damaged and how we can protect them. We then went into our own woodlands and went on a hunt to see what we could find! 

Year 1 are thoroughly enjoying lots of practical maths at the moment ️
