Year 2 had an absolutely fantastic trip to The Hancock Museum yesterday, linked to our Science topic- Habitats. We spent the morning taking part in a Habitats workshop, discussing animals who may live in different habitats. In the afternoon, we enjoyed some self led activities around the museum. Our behaviour and engagement was AMAZING!
This morning Year One completed their very first Gold Write. The children have planned and drafted their own autobiography, including special memories. Well done Year One, your teachers are super proud of you all!
Yesterday Year 1 participated in National Fitness Day. We ran 16 laps of our yard which is a big 1 mile! We then discussed what we can do to stay fit and healthy.

Our Y1 team called along Mrs Sharrock today, to celebrate in an amazing first spelling test! Our Y1 children did amazingly well and staff commented how much they could see that our children had worked hard on this at home.
So a big thank you to our parents and carers too!
In year 1 this morning we have been learning about who Wolfgang Mozart is. The children listened to Mozart music as part of sustained listening and to see if we could identify instruments we could hear. We also learnt lots of key facts about Mozart and applied these in our tasks. Great work year 1!
Wow year 1 we’re so impressed with your first cool write. We have been learning all about biography’s and the children wrote their very own biography explaining all about themselves, using their fantastic phonic knowledge to support their writing. Superstars 
Year 1 have finished their DT learning of Chop, Slice, Mash by designing and making a supermarket sandwich. We thoroughly enjoyed eating them. Next we are going to evaluate our sandwiches to see what was successful and what we would change next time! Well done!
This afternoon Year 1 have been investigating leaves. We went exploring in our school yard looking for the different types of leaves and learning all about why leaves are different. 🍃🍀
