During the afternoon we had an art gallery for our parents and carers to come and look at our work! We then used our presentational Oracy skills to share and talk about our work

This afternoon Year 4 created a ‘conscience alley’ in RE, whereby we had to convince Judas to either betray or not betray Jesus. A ‘Judas’ walked down the middle to hear our reasons… our arguments were very compelling and both children chose to betray!!
Year 4’s confidence in the water continues to grow! We are so proud of the resilience and perseverance shown by all as practice makes progress.
Year 4 completed their bikeability course today! This means they are ready for their next stage to be completed in year 5
they had a great time! Thank you all parents and carers for your support getting bikes to school today, we really appreciate it

This week, year 4 had loads of fun in science exploring states of matter more. We experimented and tested why objects can change states from solids to liquids, or liquids to gases! We learned how some processes such as evaporation and condensation take place too. We tested how things melt, due to temperature change, with some chocolate buttons…the best part of this was licking it off our hands!

This afternoon year 4 have completed some art work linked to ‘atmospheric perspective’ and how to create a foreground, middle ground and background within a landscape picture. We have tried different techniques and materials, before then applying this skill to a mountainous landscape! ![]()
Year 4 completed somegeography fieldwork, consolidating their geography learning so far this year. We completed a study looking into local transport links, visiting Jarrow bus station, Central Station and the airport. We looked at all of the different places we could travel to from each location, and interviewed people travelling to gain further insight into our transport links. Year 4 wowed the public with their conduct and exemplary manners!
Year 4 had a great time at Pizza Express, as we put our culinary skills to the test by making our own Margherita pizzas. After becoming ‘dough pros’ we can confirm that they tasted just as good as they look. Thank you Pizza Express!
