This week, in our swimming lesson, Year 3 were focussing on breast stroke. We followed Sharon’s instructions of using our mermaid feet to propel us through the water. We are all becoming more confident in the water as each week passes!

This week in Picture News, Year 3 discussed the ‘fridge to bridge the world’. We talked about how the creators of this item were Agents of Change around poverty proofing as they have invented a product that doesn’t need electricity to function making it accessible to those in poverty. This also links to yesterday’s worship as Year 3 are thinking about how we can poverty proof to help the local community. We also discussed the qualities that we have that we can use to help others less fortunate than us and linked it to Matthew 5:14-16.
Yesterday, in swimming, Y3 focussed on backstroke. Sharon gave us the key points of heads back, toes pointed, legs up and kick your legs. We had so much fun!

Year 3 had a fab afternoon exploring shadows as part of their new science topic. We explored the nature garden to see what shadows we could find, before we went onto the yard and drew our own shadows, thinking the placement of the sun. We loved ended the afternoon toasting marshmallows around the fire!

Year 3 had a fantastic first lesson at swimming. This week we focused on stay a float and kicking our legs. Well done Year 3!

After working so hard over the last few weeks, Year 3 and 4 put on an AMAZING performance this week showcasing their Easter Show. We are so so proud of how hard they have all worked learning their parts and all of the songs, well done Year 3 and 4!

Year 3, in maths, were challenged to find a variety of halves within an A4 sheet of paper. They explored to see different ways that they could find and discussed how they knew that they were halves. This is in line with our fractions unit in Maths!

Year 3 and 4 enjoyed our time outside visiting the different stations during prayer space day. We spent time reflecting on different character traits at 7 different stations across the morning!
