As part of our Worship, we have been looking at character traits. Year 4 have been thinking hard about their own character traits and which ones they feel are important during their reflection session last week. We chose four of these to represent and discussed why each one was important.
Year 4 had a great start to their new geography topic, Investigating Our World. We looked at different geographical resources, such as atlases, globes and ordinance survey maps, drawing upon our sticky knowledge from our previous geography learning. Great job Year 4!
Y3 Lego League Club have had the best time presenting their work to everyone at The Word. We have been working super hard every Thursday night and finally got to reap the benefits today after winning some awards and building our own Lego medals!
Today, Mrs Whittle came into Year 3 today to talk to us about kindness.
We all designed a heart and then discussed what mean comments we have heard or that have been said to us. We then folded our hearts for every mean comment we have heard and now our are hearts aren’t perfect anymore and that shows how those mean comments can hurt us. We also spoke about how we could be good friends…
Year 3 had a fab time completing our ‘plan B’ sports day in the hall with Mr Barron. Well done Year 3!
Year 3 have had the best time during our Fit4Fun day where we got to play many different sports! Thank you to our teachers for organising football, rounders, dancing, rugby, team sports and so on!
Year 3 spent their last week of swimming, having lots of fun! We have really enjoyed our term of swimming and can’t wait until we can come back!

Year 3 and 4 have had the BEST afternoon seeing a live band perform! We spoke with the musicians about different genres of music, instruments, call & response and showed off our funky dance moves!
Year 3 have had the best time this year going to the library! We have taken many books which have supported our learning and read so many stories. A HUGE thank you to Catherine the librarian for helping us out!
Year 3 had a jam packed afternoon as part of their DT topic. After our careful planning, we then moved on to make our greenhouses, thinking about measuring accurately, precise cutting and making stable joins, along with selecting the right materials to make our greenhouses durable and waterproof. Great team work Year 3.
