For pancake day, Year 4 decided to celebrate with a ‘Pancakes and Poetry’ morning! We started our day by thinking of some adventurous adjectives in early work to describe our pancakes!

Last week, following on from Miss Dixon’s worship, Year 4 were looking further at the zones of regulation. We thought about what triggers our emotions, and discussed strategies as a class to help us get back to our optimal ‘green zone’.

To end our guided maths session today, and to help practice our times tables ahead of our multiplication check this year, Year 4 enjoyed a game of around the world! Jackson was our champion of the game, with a winning streak of 12!

Year 4 have loved this half term of swimming! We worked super hard in our last lesson before the half term, and can’t wait to get back in the pool again after the holidays!

Year 4 have been looking at narrative poetry in English. To help us think about writing in stanzas, Mr B wrote his own poem for us! He then challenged us to put it in the correct order, thinking about how we could break it down into stanzas.

This half term, year 4 have been working on a new worship song. We have practised this over the last six weeks, and showcased our song by performing it for the rest of the school this morning.

Year 4 have been doing some reflection on character traits this last week with Miss Marley and Mr Richardson. We have been looking at what traits make a good friend, and have been thinking about how our actions can have an impact on others. We used our class ‘You Are…’ mirror to see if we can identify our own positive character traits.

Year 4 have been investigating the water cycle. We set up our own water cycle experiment to see if we could see the effects of evaporation and condensation. We made predictions before we started, and then made observations throughout the day.
