Wow! Year 4 performed their class assembly on Friday and what a performance! We are so proud at how well the children were able to showcase their learning all around their Misty Mountain Winding River topic. Thank you so much to all of our parents and carers who were able to come along and watch.

Year 4 enjoyed this half terms library trip on Thursday morning. We listened to a story from Catherine the librarian, before returning our books and swopping them for something new.

This week, in Y4 for our character reflection in worship, we focused on VE Day, reflecting on the love shown during hard times, and the sacrifices of others.

Year 4 continued their history learning this week by looking at Ancient Sumerian inventions. We looked at a variety of inventions and then tried to predict what they were and how they were used.

Year 4 had a special visitor in class today! As part of our science topic ‘Electrical Circuits and Conductors’, we had Paul, an electrician, come in to help us build our own circuits! We looked at how we could construct a circuit to make a light bulb, motor and buzzer work, and then experimented we different circuits to see if we could identify errors and how to solve them.

Year 4 started their new DT topic ‘Tomb Builders’ today. We looked at simple machines, and looked at different mechanisms to see if we could identify what simple machine had been used.

Last week, as part of our English topic, year 4 looked at comic strips. We looked at features of a comic, and then created a story board of own, thinking about our characters speech.

Year 4 loved starting their new PE unit this week. We are focusing on athletics and completed a cool task around javelin, hurdles and long jump. Well done Year 4!

Year 4 loved their first Spanish lesson of the summer term! Today we looked at different weather and how to describe lots of different types of weather types in Spanish. We practised both speaking and listening to test our knowledge.

After working so hard over the last few weeks, Year 3 and 4 put on an AMAZING performance this week showcasing their Easter Show. We are so so proud of how hard they have all worked learning their parts and all of the songs, well done Year 3 and 4!
