Yesterday afternoon Reception helped Teddy find his Teddy. We had to follow a map and find different items along the way to help us find the lost teddy bear

We are creators. As part of our learning about creation and God we created our own leaves for the trees. We explored colour, colour mixing and finger painting.
For worship this week Reception discussed how we can show love. We created love hearts. We said we could give kisses, cuddles and smiles to show love 
For early work, reception recognised their names. We then practised copying our names and some of could write them independently.
On Tuesday afternoon reception walked into a big mess! Goldilocks had visited the classroom. Reception spent the afternoon listening to the story ‘Goldilocks and the three bears” and then talking about rules and how we might sometimes not make the right choice.
Children were able to link their ideas to the rules and behaviour policy we follow at school. We discussed the importance of rules and what we would do if we upset someone, like Goldilocks and baby bear.
Reception took their learning outdoors today.




This afternoon Reception have been artists! We have explored colour and colour mixing. We picked two primary colours to paint our hands and mixed them together to make a secondary colour. Some of use were able to identify what colour we would make before we mixed our hands.
This morning Reception went onto the big yard and joined the rest of the school for break time. We then did some mark making using the chalks. Some of us practised our new sounds ‘s’ and ‘a’.
