All families should receive a copy of Digital parenting magazine today. Please take the time to browse through the magazine it has lots of very interesting articles and studies including ‘how the internet affects your child’s mental health’ and also ‘Top ten apps for under 10s’.

HURRY!!! Tomorrow is your last chance to get your tickets for our ‘Bright Lights’ Disco on Thursday 22nd October.
Tickets are priced at only £2.50 and this includes a hot dog, drink, glow stick and sweets!!
Reception and Key Stage One is held from 3:30pm-4:45pm
Key Stage Two is from 5pm-6:15pm.
Please send all money into school tomorrow in an envelope with your child’s class and name clearly stated on the front!!
CHILDREN WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PAY ON THE DOOR SO GET YOUR TICKETS NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
On 20th October Class two will be visiting the synagogue in Newcastle.
Year 6 will visit South Shields fire station on Friday 16th October for the RAP event.
Please come along to our Harvest Celebration in St. Oswald’s church on Thursday 1st October at 9.15am. Everyone is welcome.
Calling all parents/ Grandparents we are looking for volunteers to help keep tidy the nature garden in the Reception area starting 7th October while weather is good.
Anyone interested please meet on a Wednesday morning 9.00 am at the main entrance where Marina our Site Supervisory will meet you or contact Marina at the office for more information. No digging involved, tea & biscuits provided after your hours work.
A huge thank you to all of our amazing parents for sending your children to school today in some fabulous Roald Dahl inspired costumes from Giant Peaches to Mini Willy Wonkas, they were all fantastic and the children have had a super day!!
Also thank you so much to all of the family that attended our Praise and Celebration Assembly this afternoon. I can honestly say I have never seen the school hall so full!! Thank you so much, you have made my weekend!!
Lastly, a huge thank you to Miss Pape for organising the day!! In her new role as English Lead, I’m sure you will all agree she did a splendid job!!

Well Done to our brilliant PTA who raised a fantastic total of £108 for Macmillan Cancer Support at our coffee afternoon!! The cakes were delightful!! Thanks to all who contributed!!
Please come along and support our coffee afternoon in aid of Macmillan cancer fund. Parents are most welcome from 1.30pm in the Mary Thomas room.
There will be Lots of lovely cakes, tea & coffee on sale.
Why not encourage you child to save some of their pocket money. Mrs Ball runs a savings club every Monday morning (except a Monday following a holiday). Please send money into class in a clearly marked envelope stating name, class & amount. You will receive a bank book which should be sent into school with every deposit.
