‘Half term fun! The kids had a lovely half term, we did crafts and made cakes and had a lovely family bonfire night, followed by lots of goodies! The kids had fun drawing their names with the sparklers too!’😀

‘One of your pupils Callum Comerford and a group of his friends organised a fundraiser this weekend .
Poor Callum wasn’t at the event but put the work in organising, delegating jobs to the adults , making crafts etc .
They raised over £1,000 which will go to the Hebburn Helps Christmas appeal making sure children get gifts during the cost of living crisis.’

‘Last week, Alfie, Oscar and Caleb had a bake off to see who could make the best cakes they mixed all their ingredients with different fillings to see what went best together. They also added food colouring Oscar chose to make one big cake and Alfie and Caleb chose cupcakes! Some of them didn’t make the icing as they were far to keen to taste them.’
So we certainly didn’t let the rain spoil our end of term treat, last week! Our outdoor fire may of been rained off…so we brought the fire inside! We enjoyed hot dogs and popcorn sitting around our make shift fire pit in the hall, and it certainly didn’t dampen our spirits 🌭🍿
Our lovely Rocco is continuing recycling week, this week!
‘As the weather was so wet, we only picked up litter that was on the path or beside the curb. And we still managed to pick up over 3 kgs of rubbish!!! Mainly plastic bottles, cans and wrappers.
It won’t be a very nice job, but we’ll recycle what we can to save it going to landfill.’
Our lovely Rocco allowed his learning in school to spur him on and picked up his drum sticks again! ‘The rock n roll subject has really lit a fire in him. He picked up the drums for the first time in ages on his own accord. So happy see him practicing thanks to a topic from class.’
We’re sad that our very first Guardians of Ancora Club has come to an end today! This app has helped us to bring together our RE and computing learning as we’ve learned about Jesus’ life and teachings through an interactive game. We’ll look to run this club again in future terms, so watch this space! 🙂
