The weather didn’t stop us and we all got involved in our outdoor scavenger hunt at Forest Club tonight. Let’s pray for dry weather next week for toasting marshmallows around the campfire
Reception are loving our topic of Marvellous Machines! We have been very busy learning lots about how machines work and have created our own robots! These are fantastic

Lots of us want them to be able to tidy our bedrooms
!
What a fantastic afternoon Year 4 had on Monday. We were lucky enough to be able to experience the first of England’s World Cup matches together as a whole school and what a celebration it was! Big thank you to our lovely Matthew Harbison who kindly brought in some fab decorations for our classroom!

Year 3 had a different kind of worship today. They spent their reflection session looking closely at our fantastic hall displays. Each class has its own display and it was great to have a discussion about their chosen themes. The children loved the paintings and the scarecrow on the Reception Harvest display and the poppies and the Remembrance Day writing by Year 1 the most.
‘Alfie and Oscar wanted to share some pictures with you all from when they went to Simonside climbing wall. They managed to get to the top on some of the tricky walls and can’t wait to go back to try some more!’
Year 2 have had an amazing time during Forest School, yesterday afternoon. They have been on a habitat hunt around the nature garden and have used their science skills to help them identify lots of different plants and animals. Mrs Wells and Miss Riley were super impressed with the children’s sticky knowledge from previous learning and the vocabulary used in discussions was absolutely amazing!
What a score so far! The atmosphere in the hall is electric and as you can see from these lunchtime photos – the children were beyond excited for the afternoon ahead! ⚽️🤩
