Year 3 named their cooking day as ‘Taco Tuesday’. They were chopping, slicing, dicing, mixing, frying and roasting food and the end result was mouth watering! A roast vegetable and paprika chicken Tacos. We’re hoping Nicola puts them on the school menu 😊🙏.

Some of our KS2 children attended Temple Park to take part in a brand new Penathlon event – this included bowling, target throw and dribbling races! They had lots of fun and even came away with fantastic medals!
Some of our fantastic Y5&6 pupils had the amazing opportunity of filming on Wednesday with First News. They discussed their opinions on graffiti and street art and debated having sports such as skateboarding as part of the PE curriculum. This will be part of an episode of FYI News Club which will be soon shown on Sky News! Well done everyone!
A fab first session for our Forest Clubbers! This week we planned out what we wanted to do across this half term and then, in preparation for our camp fires, we collected lots of branches and twigs to use as kindling.
Year 4 put their map reading skills to the test today as part of their topic Misty Mountain Windy River. We located the rivers of the world using an an atlas, and looked at identifying both the countries and continents they were in. Fab work Year 4!
Kenzie, Jordan, Ava & Grace had a fabulous Christmas, spending lots of time crafting and then attending the pantomime for the second time!
St. Oswald’s were super lucky this morning and were visited by Jeriah from First News! We were shown how to film a snippet of news and learned that, often, filming for the TV has to be repeated so that all camera angles are covered. Y5 loved this and have not stopped talking about it all morning!
Thank you to all of our parents & carers for supporting us and keeping this a tip top secret!
What a fantastic morning Year 2 have had at The Urban Factory, taking part in a Cheerleading event. They have had so much fun developing their balance, co-ordination and teamwork skills. Everyone had a super attitude and worked together on some pretty challenging stunts and routines. Mrs Wells, Mr Barron and Mrs Wood are so proud of you all!
Reception and year 1 worked together this afternoon on our worship challenge! We looked at the story of David and Goliath and thought about strength and how God might be a rock. We then made slingshots, just like in the story of David and Goliath!
Reception enjoyed their PE on Friday, doing something a little different! We were given lots of items to move and dance with, like Pom Poms and hoolahoops. We had to listen to the music and decided how we wanted to move and dance along to it
