‘Hi St Oswald’s, the Burton and Anderson house hold had a lovely Easter and we went to the park to feed the ducks and we then went to the beach in the bit sunshine we had. Followed by a week of crafting, painting, colouring and Easter games and Easter eggs 😀‘
This afternoon year 1 kick started our new history topic of School Days by inviting Miss Robson an ex pupil of St Oswald’s into our class. Miss Robson was amazing and showed us many pictures of the school in the past. We looked at a timeline and discussed some key events linked to our school. We then explored how our school has changed over time. 
This weeks worship theme is focusing on Peace Be With You, year 1 discussed this weeks worship and then thought how we find peace. We then created our own peace doves and wrote how we individually find peace. Doesn’t our worship display look fantastic? 
‘Nathaniel had a fab Easter break. He made Easter cookies which were delicious. We had a break away to Leicester to see friends and went to Tropical bird world where he got to feed and handle some parrots. We also found all the foxes on the Fosse park trail.’
‘Zachary had a lovely Easter, spending time with family and friends, finished off with a lovely relaxing weekend at a cottage in Whitby.’
‘Ayvah has had a jam packed Easter break! She had a big family holiday to Gran Canaria where she played in the pool with her cousin Lennon and they visited the zoo! She even learned to swim without her armbands!
When we came back we swapped our summer shorts for our winter coats and went to Nana & Bamps’ caravan in Seahouses where we did an Easter egg hunt, played in the park and did some MORE swimming! But now she can’t wait to come back to school to see all of her friends!’
‘Thomas has had a lovely time this Easter! He was very brave at a Crazy Creature event and held lots of different animals including a massive snake! Weve also enjoyed time at the fair, swimming, lego time, the cinema and The Arbuthnot and the Beanstalk Panto at the Customs House. Hooe you all have had a lovely Easter :)’
‘Alfie and Oscar have had lots of fun over the holidays they enjoyed meeting some animals both boys were so brave holding snakes and spiders, they have had trips to soft play, parks and enjoyed going to there cousins birthday party and an Easter party with lots of sweets and fun x’
‘Aaron and Harry have had a jam packed Easter break. Aaron attending Mr Barrons sport camp while Harry went swimming and even did some singing with a band! Over the Easter weekend we all went on a bike ride and played on our big trampoline. We also visited the Life Centre and learnt about the different stars in the sky. We have visited the fun fair and been trying different flavoured ice creams too. For the whole holidays we have been looking after our uncles dog who is also called Harry!’
