Year 1 have been so busy preparing lots of fruit and vegetables by slicing, chopping, grating, peeling, mashing and tearing for our design and technology lesson. We even had a sneaky taste of them.

Thank you Miss Pape for ordering us these books! Year 3 have loved reading the Treehouse books by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton. This group have completed the 13 Storey Treehouse during guided reading and now want to read the next!

Year 3 loved their visit from the Dog’s Trust. Rachael was full of great tips on how to act and behave around dogs and what to do if you’re feeling nervous.
‘Alfie and Oscar had a lovely day with their family at South Lake Safari Park, they got up close to lots of animals and hand fed the giraffes!’
What a lovely first week back we had at Forest Club on Thursday! With the restrictions now lifted we were finally able to get back in the chicken and duck coop to resume chicken and duck duties, much to everyone’s delight! Our lovely Simon also brought in a raspberry and a gooseberry bush for us to plant, and we tended to our newly planted wildflower patch! It was so lovely to see our recently planted apple and pear trees sprouting some new buds too, we are all looking forward to the summer term ahead watching everything grow!
Reception had a great fun in Forest school today.
We used our previous knowledge linked to the topic ‘Creep, Crawl and Wriggle’ to identify minibeasts

. We used a range of materials to create shelters for the minibeasts.
Year 4 were lucky to have a visit from the Dogs Trust today who delivered a fantastic workshop for us! We learned all about staying safe around dogs and what not to do. Thank you so much Rachel and Donna!
Year 4 have been looking at length and perimeter in Maths. Yesterday we looked at ordering length; we even measured our own heights to compare (including measuring Mrs O’Doherty!)
This week in PE, Year 2 have been continuing to develop their ball skills by practicing different ways of passing the ball. They used chest passes, bounce passes and over arm throws, thinking about the distance and power needed for it to reach their partner. Many of the children also challenged themselves, by using different hands too!
Wooooo pom poms up for cheerleading club being back! Wow what a fantastic first session, Miss Marley was so impressed with all of our moves and gymnastic skills
Well done Cheerleaders!
