A HUGE shout out to our children, parents and carers at St Oswald’s, our attendance is back up this week and we hit OUTSTANDING with a whole school total of 97.24%
Maddie has earned her first rainbow award and her promise to the Rainbows that she will follow rules, listen and earn more and more badges!
Year 5 have been getting into the Christmas spirit this week and decorating their class tree!
Year four spent Thursday afternoon bringing their collaborative design to life with paint! Over the last two weeks, we have planned and drafted tiles to create a collaborative Roman mosaic. Today, year four created their tile, first sketching their design and then using watercolours to make their ideas shine. Every tile is a puzzle piece which we will cut out and piece together – we can’t wait to show you the final artwork when it has been assembled!
Harper had a very special visitor tonight to their house for her birthday. Zante the fox and flower the meerkat! Harper, Amber and Shay loved learning and meeting the animals and even managed to get a cuddle from Zante, which made Harper’s day!
Our Ozzie Owls have had a fantastic week celebrating Pudsey week. We have had lots of charity activities within the school. But, our Owls have completed some beautiful pictures. We have also made some Pudsey Book Marks for themselves and their families. They have worked so hard and we are very proud of them all and the work they have completed’. Well done Ozzie Owls.
‘During this week in Ozzie Owls we discussed Anti-Bullying and Friendships. Our pupils completed porters describing what makes a good friend. They also wrote about how everyone is different but equal and showed this by colouring in some beautiful photos’
‘Last week for Remembrance Week our Ozzie Owls have worked very hard and have created some beautiful pictures. Some have coloured in poppies and designed a medal. Our Years 5 and 6 completed a ‘What is War and What is Peace’ in which they had to explain what it must of been like to live through this, what did it smell like, what it sounds like and what they thought it would be like to taste it’. Mrs Morgan, Mrs Pearson are so proud of them all for all the hard work they have put into this topic’
Harry really enjoyed Quadbiking at Slaley Hall near Hexham for his birthday, on Sunday, although it was a bit cold it was really good fun through lots of big puddles!
Harry & Aaron were so excited having friends and family over for the big lights switch at their home this weekend, along with their home made hot chocolate and hot dogs!
