Y6 loved their maths and history workshop today! We learned about the importance of mental maths through the mathematician, Thomas Fuller, who was a black slave in the 18th century known for having lightning quick mental maths skills.

During the workshop, we completed our own mental maths calculations and developed our understanding of how to become a mathematician like Thomas Fuller, developing our disciplinary knowledge of maths.
