On Thursday, Year 5 enjoyed taking part in a Science experiment linked to water resistance. We ran a ‘winner stays on’ competition to see whose clay shape would take the longest to reach the bottom of the water tank. We concluded that water resistance increases based on the surface area of the shape. The larger the surface area, the longer it took to reach the bottom. Look at the smiles on the faces of our winning team!
