Year 3 had a challenging and really fun morning for International Day of Maths. We started off with our work playing 21 with our partners to see who could be the first one to get to 21. We found this very fun!
In our maths books we worked in mixed abilities groups to use digit cards and arranged them to make four digit numbers as close at the target as possible. The tricky part was we could only use the each digit once! Even Mr Richardson found this tricky. We did very well and some of us even won 2 Ozzie stars each! ⭐️ and some to us even won prizes from our mystery box.
We then had another activity to use numbers between 1-5 in a (V) shape so that the arms of the shape could have the same total.
