Year 1 had a fantastic time with Mrs O’Doherty in the nature garden for forest school on Thursday.

First of all, children discussed all of the different features of a woodland, then they went out and looked for these in our nature garden. They were excited to spot features such as bird nests and fungi.

Finally they took part in woodland management by helping Mrs O’Doherty to wood-chip the paths in the nature garden to help preserve vegetation.
