Year 4 spent their Forest School session this week continuing their work on states of matter as part of their science topic. Mr B carried out a range of experiments with us, looking at what factors could affect ice melting, the difference in temperatures, and how quickly it would take water to boil. We worked scientifically to make predictions and observations, and then record our findings.

We loved using the fire to observe changing states and observe the process of evaporation and condensing first hand…but I think our favourite part was using the fire to toast some marshmallows to end our afternoon!
