Year 4 had a tremendous afternoon with a familiar face from our St Oz family, Mr Hayton! We had a great time learning about the water cycle and water flow and how this can lead to flood damage ️. We looked at drainage systems and how we will make our own ‘Rain Gardens’ next week to slow the flow down and catch the water. We experimented with materials that allow water through and materials that don’t (like tarmac paths).

We also demonstrated the flow of water and how we can slow it down with rocks, hessian and soil! Keep your eyes peeled for the results next week when John returns for part 2…
