Year 2 started off their DT topic, Beach Huts, yesterday by focusing on making box frames with wooden dowels. We began by measuring and sawing our wooden dowels with a saw, bench hook and G-clamp. After that, we focussed on using butt joins to join all of the pieces together. Then we moved onto focussing on how to make the sides and how to reinforce and strengthen card.
