It didn’t quite turn out to be the Sunday Miss Pape, or a poorly Puddles, expected…

Our Appleyard, Puddles, has had quite the adventure today. On finding that she had a poorly foot – she had to go allllll the way to Darlington to see the vet! It was a long journey, but everyone in the vets was very taken with our little duck. She’s home safe and sound now, with some medicine, and a few weeks of R&R (much to her dismay!) prescribed. 🚑👩‍⚕️

Our lovely Puddles was feeling pretty grumpy by the time she got back to the coop, she if you can spot her giving Miss Pape some serious side eye from the window of her hutch… 👀🦆
