Year 6 have made and produced some of their own Environmental Art. They found it very fun and stressful at the same time. Well done Year 6!
Yesterday, KS2 Lego Club had a fantastic time taking part in the Lego League Challenge Competition! We worked on our coding skills, on our motorised robot and presented our innovate project to a range of judges. It was all about creating a marine app to support marine biologists and their research! We were super lucky and won a trophy for our amazing innovative research!
Healthy Minds visited our Y6s to talk about stress around SATs. The class discussed and tried to understand their feelings and emotions around SATs and looked at strategies on how to cope, manage and thrive during their exams.
Year 6 have connected with nature outside today. They found it very peaceful and calming after the busy afternoon.
Year 6 have had a visit to Jarrow library. They enjoyed picking out books and reading them. We have all enjoyed going to the library.
Year 6 have been learning about real news and fake news. They were really good at finding out what was real and fake.
Y6 had a fantastic day looking at David Attenborough and were tasked to create their own nature documentary on iMovie, linked to Frozen Kingdoms. At the end of the day, parents/carers came in to watch their movies.
Y6 revisited the pentatonic scale and played some activities with their partners to build their confidence in composing.
Year Six have been practicing their worship song. It is very upbeat and everyone loves it. The song is called Praise.
