Yesterday in Year 4 we have been completing a spot of gardening! We have been using trowels, spades, rakes, forks and brushes. We were very hot but made lots of progress on our Year 4 trench! Next step… planting some vegetables!

Today during reflection worship, Year 4 trialled their new display created by Mr Barron and Miss Topping. The children used the Zones of Regulation and Feelings Blobs posters as a guide and placed their pictures onto them, showing how they were feeling. We’re hoping for this to become a regular activity in class! We also spoke about forgiveness with Mrs Hope and how we can forgive someone for treating us badly – we held our stones and dropped them into the water which was used as a metaphor for forgiving someone!
This morning, Mr Hayton and Miss Topping took some children from Year 4 into the nature garden to complete some maths. We were focussing on learning what a right angle is. Here are some examples of our work and pictures of us working out the number of right angles in a full turn!
On Tuesday, Year 4 made a ‘coffee themed’ Mother’s Day card! Miss Topping decided that coffee was the way forward for our lovely mams as they probably drink a lot of it day-to-day. We would like to say a big thank you to our mams for all of the help during our online learning over the past three months and that we really appreciate everything you do for us in Year 4!

Kenzie, Jordan and Ava have been busy making a snowman in their garden and they have named him Frosty! He has carrots for buttons, nose and mouth and a yummy cucumber for his eyes.

Year 4 really enjoyed our break time in the snow this morning – we hope it snows even more this week so that we can make some snowmen and snow angels!
