What a fantastic day Year 4 had at Monkton Stadium taking part in an athletics tournament organised by Mr Barron. We loved participating in all the events across the day, and were amazing at cheering each other on during races. Year 4 staff were so proud of the classes team spirit and the support they showed each other.

What an AMAZING day Year 4 have had celebrating the Coronation with our pen pals at Bede Burn. We made our own flags, had a fab picnic lunch together, and then performed our song in front of the two schools we had learned called ‘Sing for the King’. Love that the sun came out for us too to finish a great day of celebration 🎉

Year 4 have absolutely loved their day of Bikeability! They have mastered negotiating shared spaces, communicating clearly with others and choosing and maintaining the most suitable riding positions. Well done a Year 4!
Year 4 were lucky to have a visit from the Dogs Trust today who delivered a fantastic workshop for us! We learned all about staying safe around dogs and what not to do. Thank you so much Rachel and Donna!
Year 4 have been looking at length and perimeter in Maths. Yesterday we looked at ordering length; we even measured our own heights to compare (including measuring Mrs O’Doherty!)
Year 4 spent the morning in the nature garden today as part of their Grouping and Classifying science topic. We have been using our observational skills to compare, sort and group living things into different categories then recording our results.
Finishing the spring term with a bang! What a jam packed day we have had…starting with our Easter service, and then spending the rest of the day exploring different Easter traditions, from decorating our eggs to our egg rolling competition! Thank you to all the classes for arranging such fab Easter activities for us all to enjoy
What a show! Huge thank you to everyone who came to watch a Year 4 perform in their Easter Show, they were absolutely amazing! And a huge well done to Year 3 for their brilliant singing!
