In History, Year 3 worked in pairs to research the lives of people from the past historical periods. We created videos explaining who the Beaker Folk were and how did they influence daily life in Britain.
In Year Three, we have been learning a poem called ‘The Sound Collector’ by Roger McGough. We have been practicing using our oracy skills from the listening ladder which we have been learning in our CPD.
We had pancakes and shared our poems with some of our grown ups.
We then performed ‘The Sound Collector’ in front of the rest of the school. Year 3 has had a brilliant World Poetry Day. 

Year 3 had an excellent time practicing their performance poem and creating actions for the different parts of it this morning during oracy. We can’t wait to share it with everyone on Friday!
Year 3 played games of basketball in teams practicing using their skills they have been learning over the past four weeks.

Year 3 had a wonderful and peaceful time for International Day of Peace. We lots of different activities linked to peace. 
Today is National Fitness Day and we celebrated this by running a mile around our school yard alongside Years 1 and 2 and some of our teachers. It was hard but we had so much fun! 


In Science, Year 3 predicted and conducted a fair experiment on fatty foods. We ranked different foods in order and tested the foods to see how much oil/fat would be on the brown paper. We found out that rice cakes was the least fattiest and cashew nuts were the most fattiest.
In basketball, year 3 practiced their passing variety and accuracy.
