Year 3 had an amazing day at The Discovery Museum yesterday learning about and exploring forces. We built rocket cars and then raced them. Following this we discussed the forces acting on the cars and how this effected them.

Year 3 had a great time playing in the snow this afternoon! 
Year 3 had such a fun time at their Christmas party! They enjoyed lots of dancing and games!

Year 3 had an amazing time starting their pedestrian training yesterday. We walked along St Oswald’s Road and practiced crossing the road safely. We can’t wait for our next session in January.

Year 3 enjoyed their book swap during Guided Reading as apart of Year Two’s #SaveOurChurch! 
Year 3 had Hiba come in yesterday to teach us all about Eid-al-Fitr as part of our RE lesson on the deeper meaning of Eid-al-Fitr. She talked to us all about what Muslims do on Eid and why they do it. We then had a quiz and Hiba read us a story on Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr. Hiba also gave us some Eid Explore certificates and some sweets! Thank you Hiba!
Year 3 had an amazing time at Beamish on Friday. We explored the museum and looked at how human geography has changed over time. We were amazed to see how much human features have changed from the Victorian times until now!
For ‘No Pens Day’, Year 3 identified what choices they make at school, home, outside and discussed what choices we find difficult to choose from and used our oracy skills to record on Seesaw. We then discussed and explained the importance of hygiene and what to do if we feel unwell and how we can help stop spreading diseases. For COOL afternoon we had an Emergency Service quiz to show our knowledge to some parents/carers. Well done Year 3!
