Reception have had a fantastic week and are loving their new topic of Castles and Knights! We have had a great week looking at where knights live and exploring how castles are different to our own houses. We have taken lots of our learning outdoors too and have been enjoying the lovely sunshine ️!

Oscar has been doing some exploring over Easter and found this handy stick to help him on his way! He’s had a great time climbing trees and running down hills!

Evelyn in reception has spent her Easter holidays practicing riding her bike with no stabilisers! She’s doing amazing so far!

Reception have had a lovely forest school afternoon exploring the nature garden. We have listened to the story of ‘Stick Man’ and then we had to make our own! We searched around the nature garden to find some sticks that looked like they had arms and legs! Some of us even tied 2 sticks together to make our stick man. Well done reception!

Reception are having a great week doing lots of learning outdoors! We have done this for phonics and maths. In maths we have been playing games and keeping score with a tally! In phonics we have been sorting captions, pictures and initial sounds. Well done reception ️⭐️

Reception are loving their new outdoor equipment for our physical development! Thank you Mr Usher, we are having so much fun 

Reception have been having a fantastic time learning all about our butterflies and tadpoles. This week we have started to explore life cycles! We have also looked at the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and have had a brilliant afternoon of learning focussed around this story. We also named our caterpillars. Please ask us which names we have chosen, as they have been making Miss Marley and Miss Riley chuckle! ️🦋
