So when we think about it the Easter holidays are over and it’s back to home schooling and what better way for Maddie to do it then in style!
I was finding addition and subtraction to 10 was too easy for him so I decided to do addition to 20 (flew through it) so gave him subtraction to 20. I showed him how to do the first one using a number line and he said Mam I don’t need your help for the rest. He did them pretty quickly and said maaaam I’m done. I couldn’t believe my eyes – he got them all right working independently. He was so proud of himself and asked me to take a picture so I could show you. So here they are. And yes, your eyes aren’t deceiving you – he has a spiked Mohawk-style with multi-coloured hair chalk done by Lahna! Haha
Amber has loved seeing what everyone has been up to.
We have been full of busy. Amber has been enjoying using her phonics skills to make little stories. Shes doing well with her numbers and shes been planting veg in the garden too. Shes got some caterpillars and shes loving watching them grow and change.
Yesterday we got her cookbook and she decided she wanted to make cheese wands and send you the photos. They were delicious.
Reception had a tank full of frogspawn when we left, they decided put it back in our nature garden with school closing. Guess what? We have new tadpoles now which are looking big! AND can you spot one of our frogs?! Look really closely!
Very exciting news, we have a butterfly! Today our first butterfly emerged from its cocoon. What should we call it? Here it is enjoying some grapes and sugar water.
Happy Easter everyone !! The kids have had so much fun decorating there masks to do our Easter egg hunt in the garden and making there cards for family they have really enjoyed today and they love there surprises what they got for there hard work xx
On Friday, Miss McKeown, Mrs Hope and Mr Richardson learnt all about caterpillars turning into butterflies! We had to carefully transfer the cocoons into the nets. This was a very tricky job as Reception class had been looking after the caterpillars so well! We cannot wait to see what happens next…

I’ve been so busy over the last few weeks. My house has never been so tidy and clean.
My daughter and I have been doing our daily fitness workout with Joe. We even got dressed up for fancy dress Friday last week.
I’ve planted lots of seeds ready for them to be planted out in the next few weeks in my allotment.
I have a new project at my allotment…. not one but two new greenhouses are being built.
And finally I’ve been keeping up my love for reading. I’m onto my 5th book.

It’s the weekend! All is well with us for another week, in the Pape household.
This week I’ve got more house renovations to show you – how do you like my new hall way floor? Twit twoo! I’m definitely adding some DIY life skills to my skill set through all of this 
I’ve been in school with some of our lovely key worker children this week, don’t tell Mrs Wright but I’ve been pinching her seat and getting far too comfortable shouting ‘Alexa…’ I think I might fancy my own!
We finished our first book in book club last night and now we are ready to start a new book for this week. I hear our year 3 and 4 children now have Reading Plus – you lucky ducks! 
My mam and I delivered food parcels for Hebburn Helps this week, I saw some familiar faces, from 2 metres away, of others in our local community who are helping out! What a fab feeling that was

Finally, my gorgeous god daughter posted me some lovely pictures she drew. They came all the way from Manchester and really brightened up my day 🤩 it’s really lovely to see all of the fab things you are doing too!

Today we’ve been learning about outer space. We’ve watched fun space YouTube videos,made telescopes to look at the moon tonight and had fun making NASA selfies on the NASA website. Harper was fascinated at the fact the sun is a star hope you are all well from Harper and family.
