This week is ‘Walk to School Week’, and each day, we are logging how we got to school, in order to earn badges! In Year 4 today, 16 of us either walked or cycled into school…great start Year 4!
This week was Year 4’s gold task in their current PE topic. We consolidated all we had learned, thinking about how the skills used for athletics can contribute to other sports. We enjoyed an afternoon perfecting the hurdles, shot put, javelin and triple jump!
Year 4 have had a fab afternoon at St Paul’s Church, linked to their topic of Pentecost! We had loads of fun making our own flame pom poms and reenacting the story. We also learned lots about the history of the church and how significant it is…did you know it has the oldest stained glass window in the world!

Today, Year 4 spent their afternoon immersed in all things clay as part of their current art topic. We experimented with different techniques, thinking about what skills we need to master when working with clay, and our joining skills.
This week in worship, our Agent of Change is Agent Agnes, also known as Mother Theresa. For our challenge this week, Year 4 had to complete a quiz all about Mother Theresa and all she has done to be an Agent of Change.

This week in Year 4, as part of our athletics topic in PE, we have been looking at the triple jump. We had to master a hop, step and a jump, really thinking about our technique.
After recently studying poetry in English, some of Year 4 were super keen at the opportunity to take part in a poetry competition. Our budding poets have came along during their lunch breaks this week to write a poem to the theme of ‘Once Upon a Dream’. Good luck Year 4!
