Monday 29th June , the school will be closed to children in order for staff training to take place.
PTA are looking for raffle prizes, nearly new toys, unwanted gifts, any bottles of pop, alcohol etc to go onto a bottle stall at the summer fair on 3rd July. All items greatly appreciated. Please speak to Mrs Scott for further information.
Parents are welcome to attend this assembly about Grace Darling on Thursday 18th June.
M&M production of Alice in wonderland is on Monday 15th June, parents are asked to contribute £2 towards this event.

Over the Easter break, Mrs Beckett (Headteacher of Cleadon CE Academy), unfortunately passed away after a short period of illness. This obviously has come as a huge shock to all of the school community. All of the children at St Oswald’s have written a prayer for the children at Cleadon to show our support. We will continue to pray for Cleadon CE Academy and Mrs Beckett’s family.
Our Friday reading sessions have really rocketed last term and are set to continue to do so. These sessions give children the opportunity to read to an adult if they haven’t had the chance to do so during the week at home or provide children with the opportunity to build upon their ‘reading miles’. We are still on the hunt for volunteers so if you have a couple of hours free on a Friday afternoon contact Miss Riley!
