In worship last week, we learned about the kind of king that Christians believe Jesus was. He wasn’t proud and he didn’t make demands of those around him, but rather he was a humble, servant king who met the needs of others. Therefore, for their challenges, each class chose an important individual from our school community from the “humility hat” and looked to connect with, serve and support them and meet their needs. Each class rose wonderfully to this challenges, and here are examples of just some of the kind acts that were performed across the week. Well done, St Oswald’s – keep being servant kings and queens to others!
On Friday, the Eco Leaders came together for the first Eco Club. They did not waste any time getting stuck into some areas for development for our school. In their first session, they carried out a paper-use audit, interviewed Mr Scrafton about waste and then Mrs Wright about how much we spend on paper. Mrs Pennock and Mrs Conway were so impressed with their passion and enthusiasm for this subject! ![]()

Another night of football matches for the St Oz boy’s team! Although we fought some tough matches, we played amazingly as a team and kept our spirits high. With some wise words from Mr Barron, we are sure that our next games will end in victory! Most importantly we all had fun! Keep your chins up boys, you always do us proud

Dan and Lucy have had a lovely half term holiday. They’ve played Angry Birds crazy golf and went to the amusements at the Metrocentre and have been swimming then soft play with their cousin, Emilia. They had a lovely surprise from their uncle who took them to Clip and Climb, and then had lots of fun at Matthew’s party, holding stick insects, snakes and a crocodile! We finished off a lovely week with Lucy’s Cheerdance UK dance competition where she and all her friends danced amazingly!!
What a week at St Oz, we have been excitedly planning, writing, voting and electing our SCHOOL COUNCILLORS! And here they are… Our fabulous school representatives! A huge well done to all those who prepared manifestos and ran for school council, you were all superb and we are so proud of each and every one of you! To our new school council members, we cannot wait to get to work with you and make some exciting plans!

‘Here is photo of our lovely Alice with her amazing loaf she made at school. We had a sneaky slice once we got home and then decided to add croutons to our mac and cheese tea. Absolutely delicious! Alice has even instructed us to never buy bread again!’
Another victory for our fabulous St Oz’s girls team! Winning 2-0 in both of our matches today and playing fantastically as a team. We can see you growing in confidence each game. HUGE well done, you are doing our school proud girlies
