Daniel and Lucy had a sad start to the holidays when of our Guinea pigs passed away. We have all been very sad, but Daniel and Lucy have been super brave. They have gone on to have lots of fun in half term holiday; going to farm with their aunties and cousins, getting ready for the Jubilee making crowns and going on a family walk to Jarrow Park with Mabel for a picnic. We then celebrated the Jubilee at a Picnic in the Park in East Boldon, where they made bird feeders and had lots of fun! To top the week off, Daniel, Marvellous and their Hebburn Involved U11 Sparks team mate won their first ever tournament! After 3 years of numerous semi-final defeats, they got the win!! We are all super proud of them, and it was their first ever 9-a-side games. We hope you all had lots of fun too.
Oscar and Penelope would like to introduce their new dog Dexter to everyone at St Oswald’s!
Look at our children learning to ride! Wow, we are so proud! We loved watching you all!
Maddie and Meghan would love you all to meet Toffee & Coco the guinea pigs the new members of the family!
Alfie decided to hop and run to school on Jubilee day and Oscar rode his bike. We don’t get to walk much due to having to go to St Joseph’s first so today we had the chance!
A great day yesterday for our football team! The season may be over, but we still enjoyed a tournament today playing some new and familiar faces. As always we worked well together as a team and managed a 3-0 win in our last match! ⚽️
Charlie has been to Holland! ‘Charlie plays for Jarrow Dynamos Blues U10’s and we have fundraised the whole trip for the full team. We travelled over last Thursday and we all got picked up by a coach then drove to the ferry at North Shields which we travelled on overnight. We arrived in Holland, Amsterdam on Friday morning, we then visited the Ajax team football stadium then travelled to our hotel in Oisterwijk. Charlie and his team then played a friendly with one of the local Dutch teams.
The next day we were all up early and ready for the tournament at the V.V. Trinitas football ground which saw over 48 teams from 6 different countries.
Charlie played teams from Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, England and Scotland. Charlie and his team mates played some excellent football which led them to finish second in their league which meant they were through to the semi finals. They lost the semis to a very good English side from Kent who went onto winning their age group in the tournament. So they played for 3rd or 4th place , unfortunately losing 1-0 with minutes to go the opposition scored an excellent goal, so Charlie and his team mates placed 4th in the tournament out of 12 for his age group.
Fantastic experience for them all with some brilliant football played!’
Here is our Lexi making seed/fat cakes for the birds in the nature garden. This is amazing, Lexi!
