Art Club really enjoyed practising their drawing and sketching skills after school. They especially loved Mrs Wood’s challenge of drawing Stitch.

Before half term, it was walk to school week! Our lovely Ryaa and Hariett rolled to school, taking part in getting here in a different way!
We had some exciting news in Year 3 before half term… our Olivia is going to have a baby brother in September! She brought in her teddy to show us which included a speaker with her baby brother’s heartbeat in it! We can’t wait to meet him!
Our staff and parents were battling the conditions in the annual St. Oz v Bede Burn Football match, prior to half term. Unfortunately, the score was 5-3 to Bede Burn but were super proud and loved cheering our team on! Well done everyone! ⚽️
‘Alfie and Oscar wanted to share their adventures with you all! They have been for a very blustery camping trip to Blue Dolphin. All started well, although raining, we didn’t let it spoil our trip! The second day however, we returned to our tent blown over, it then very quickly blew away with dad standing in the tent! Alfie and Oscar found this very funny, but dad was not so happy, we had to book into a hotel to finish our holiday much to mam’s delight!’
Another fabulous Thursday night with this absolutely gorgeous bunch! This time experimenting with melting chocolate over the fire (which we may have burnt a little!) but that didn’t stop us! We thoroughly enjoyed a night of toasting and dipping around the fire

Alfie, Oscar & Caleb loved their visit to the circus, this weekend!
Yesterday, KS2 had an assembly led by Mrs Whittle all about keeping ourselves safe. We learned about the different types of abuse and who we could speak to if we need further support. Thank you very much Mrs Whittle!
We’ve had lots of fun in Key Stage 1 Art Club, building and painting our own bird houses. We are looking forward to decorating them next week when they have dried.
Reception and KS1 had an assembly with Mrs Whittle this morning around NSPCC – speak out stay safe safeguarding programme. The children learnt about their rights, what is ok and not ok, privacy, if they have worries and which grown-ups might be good to talk to in school and out of school. Mrs Whittle was amazed by the children’s discussions around inclusion and diversity.
