Key stage one kicked started after school club with dodgeball. We practised the skills of throwing, catching, aiming and dodging before playing some games. It got very competitive but we demonstrated great team skills!

This morning, St Oswald’s went to church for our annual Christingle service. We thought about how Jesus is the light and why he is the reason for the season! Our voices sounded beautiful and raised the roof of the church when we were singing!

Wow! What a fantastic time some of our children had this morning at the Parallel Athletics event!
We were absolute superstars and took part in lots of events such as javelin, track events, long jump, speed bounce and target throwing. We were over the moon that we managed to bag ourselves some GOLD medals for coming first, what a super team!
We are soooo proud
St Oswald’s girls represented our school in the South Tyneside League on Monday. This was the girls first outing as a team and Miss Randle and Miss Marley could not be prouder of the girls commitment and work ethic.
Our first match of 3 was v Hedworthfield. The girls started quickly and some excellent passing and dribbling seen us win the match 4-0 with 2 goals each from our captain Ava and Anya.
We then played matches v East Boldon and St Joseph’s, both matches ending 0-0. The girls played some excellent 2 touch passing, and we came so close to winning v East Boldon when Phoebe hit the post from a long range shot.
A great afternoon all round. 5 points, 4 goals and 0 goals conceded. Ha’way the lasses
A huge thank you to Lucy (our child of achievement) and her family for representing St Oswald’s at the remembrance church service and for laying the St Oswald’s wreath at the war memorial in Hebburn yesterday! Thank you Lucy.
