Last week Year 2 started their new topic in Art. This half term we will be learning about Andy Warhol using the media of print. Year 2 loved their cold task and we cannot wait to see how their learning progresses.
Year 3 had a great time investigating the absorbency of different soils last week. They made fantastic predications and observations. Well done!
This afternoon year 1 have been learning about games that are played around the world linked to our topic of toys. We then had a chance to play these games in class, we’ve had lots of fun and made lots of noise! Some of these games included making a worry doll, flicking counters into a target, moving items with speed and working both together in teams and working against each other.
Reception continued their learning on dinosaurs this week and started to focus of naming dinosaurs and exploring their features and the purpose of these! We certainly have some little dino experts in our class!
Not the result we wanted but Maddie had a absolute blast at her first Newcastle United match, with her dad!
Reception had a super afternoon yesterday, exploring dinosaur textures! We investigated the surfaces and textures in our classroom and described them, evaluating if and why we thought they may or may not have been similar to that of a dinosaur – wow!

Reception had so much fun dressing up like dinosaurs with the masks and costumes, exploring different types of dinosaurs in the small world area and looking closely at fossils.

Meryl and Joseph enjoyed the Alnwick Garden Winter Light Trail, saying, ‘it’s magical here!’
