Last week, Year 6 were lucky enough to be invited along to Jarrow Hub as part of the ‘A Poet in Every Port’ UK tour. We had a chance to browse the selection of local poetry collections, had a look around the mobile library, and wrote our own poem based on local dialect words from the area. We then performed our poems which were recorded by the Southbank Centre, who were so impressed with not only our creative writing, but our oracy skills during our performances!
