Yesterday, year 1 had the best day at the Life Centre in Newcastle. Firstly, we participated in a where on earth workshop to support our learning in Geography  around the topic of our wonderful world. The children all got given an animal and they travelled around the world to discover the animals natural habitats, the countries they live in and discussing the 7 different continents.

After the workshop, the children explored the Life Centre. We absolutely loved the new light box area, even all the teachers had so much fun too! We then moved into the wow zone and space zone and had a great time being astronauts.

After dinner, we all went into the planetarium. We watched a new show called ‘bump in the night’, the children were amazed at this unique experience. We then moved into the play zone, we had the BEST time! Finally, we watched a science show and even had two stars of the show who joined the scientist on stage.
