Year 3 have had a fantastic day at Arbeia Fort where we have kick-started our topic ‘Emperors and Empires’. We began by taking part in a time quest excavation where we acted as archaeologists to uncover the Roman past. After that we wandered around the fort where we looked at the commanding officers house, the soldiers’ barracks and the West Gate. Finally, we went into the small museum to discover some small secrets about the past!
